Hi again,
Thanks to all of you who helped me string together a last -minute trip. We are going to Greece! There will be three of us and I was wondering whether any of you could recommend a centrally located hotel that can accommodate 3 people/room. We have Hyatt points and I've been looking for a hotel room that can sleep three people and most hotels seem only to have 2 twin beds or 1 queen bed. Any suggestions?
You won’t be able to use your points, but The Foundry is centrally located, proximate to good dining and nightlife as well as sightseeing, and has a variety of larger apartment-style suites. Very affordable too and a lovely rooftop breakfast. I enjoyed my stay there.
We really enjoyed Hotel Phaedra https://hotelphaedra.com/ in the Plaka at the foot of the Acropolis.
The Attalos Hotel has triples and is just a short walk from Monastiraki Square. We had a good stay there back in 2016. Check it out at: https://www.attaloshotel.com.
Another vote for the Attalos Hotel.
Thank you all! I will look up these places.
Happy to hear positive mentions regarding the Attalos Hotel. I just booked a two-night stay at this place (pre-tour).
We stayed at the Hotel Amazon in 2008 and had an Acropolis view room. Enjoyed our stay. The restaurant across the street was handy and the location just off Mitropoleos Street between Syntagma Square and the Plaka is great.
The Acropolis View Hotel.
200 meters from Acropolis in the neighbourhood of Philopappou in a pedestrian street.
They have standard twin room with extra bed
Or rooms with double + single bed at reasonable prices
I always stay at the Attalos. It's clean, safe and centrally located. Short walk to Central Markets and Monistiraki Square and the start of the tourist zone.
Lots of options in a wide range of budgets available all over Greece but the Attalos works fine for me.
Attalos is our go to hotel in Athens. I don't think anyone has mentioned that it has a rooftop bar with views of the Acropolis.
