Looking for some suggestions. Currently have Airbnb downtown Athens prior to day of departure. Flight departures at 6:30am. I am concerned it would be difficult to find taxi available at 3:30am so thinking it would be best to have private transport prearranged. Please recommend reliable companies. (me,husband,&18yr old son). Time of trip is early April.

Welcome pickups is one of the good pre-booked taxi services. This is the one we use when it's too early to take public transport.
The price is similar to that of a traditional taxi (actually, these are pre-bookable traditional taxis)

I have used Welcome Pickups twice. Both times they were on time. the drivers spoke fluent English, the vehicles were clean and it was a pleasant ride.

great thanks for the suggestion of welcome pick up. Now should we book now for April 10th or wait a bit to be sure flight time is not changed? Want to have as much stuff done prior to departure from states on April 2nd.

I usually book 48 hours in advance. That's enough.
Anyway when you book a transfer from the airport you give your flight number. this way the driver knows if your flight is on time or not.
Download the app, communication will be easier.
