Car Rental in Nafplio - Drop off at Athens Airport

Hi All,
My wife and I are heading to Nafplio from Athens via the bus service on Aug 24th, but Im looking to rent a car from Nafplio to Athens on Aug 26th. We fly out early on the 27th. Any suggestions who I should contact? Ive looked online and am having a devil of a time finding a rental company who's accommodating.
I've contacted the hotel where we're staying in Nafplio, but have yet to hear from them.

Going directly to rental companies did not help? People say good things about AutoEurope.
We rented and returned (from Hertz) at the airport, but I have done different location drop-offs in Italy and it's rarely more than a minor charge if anything.

Why not pick the car up at ATH and drive to Napflio? It would be helpful to have a car while there to explore the Mycenae, Epidavros.

Picking up a car in Athens is an option to have for the stay in Nafplio, but Ive also read you can get around the area very easily because it's compact.
Ive heard back from Bounos and Alma and neither has availability. Big name companies are pricing a one day rental at over $300. So maybe best option is to pick up in Athens on the 24th and keep the car for the duration.

Good choice--you will want to plan parking in August (in May was easy), but the driving is super easy and this way you can stop at sites on the way to and from Nafplio. We did not stop on the way there, but on the way back we stopped at Nemea. That will help maximize your time depending on what your plans were.

At Eastertime last year, we rented on the Peloponnese after getting off the ferry at Ermioni, then drove to Nafplio, an hour away, for the next 2 nights. We then ventured clockwise for several more days, over to Olympia, then over the bridge to Galaxidi, Delphi, and ultimately to Athens where we turned in the car. We used Rick Steves’ recommended Pop’s Car Rental. Sounds maybe like a one-person operation, but they actually have locations throughout Greece, including in Athens and at the Athens airport, but checking their Website just now, I was surprised that they don’t seem to have a Nafplio branch. Maybe still check them out?

Compact? Perhaps within Napflio itself. However, the Mycenae and Epidavros are outside of Napflion as are ancient Nemea and Tiryns. You drive through olive groves and fruit orchards, very scenic.
