I've looked at past topic threads on car rental in Athens and seems like ACR is a forum favorite. Plan is to rent a car for two days in Athens and drive to Nafplio (5/22-5/24). ACR is putting together a quote for me as online site requires rental for at least three days. I went to Enterprise website and can reserve a BMW 1 series for $120, plus whatever insurance I decide pick up. The credit card I will use has collision and theft with no deductible. Has anyone used Enterprise out of Athens airport, and if so pros and cons. I read on one post ACR puts 800 Euro hold on card, which seems high considering my card offers collision and theft up to actual cash value of vehicle. On web site did not see similar hold with Enterprise though I'm sure they have some level of hold.
