Hi,
Has anyone rented a car in Nafplio? We are looking take a bus from an Athens and rent a car in Nafplio or rent a car in Athens and return if possible in Nafplio. We are traveling around the Peloponnese peninsula. At the end we will be Nafplio four nights and will take a taxi back to the airport . Any advice on car rental companies appreciated. Thanks Jeni

We’d need to know your arrival and departure info to know if this is feasible, but it was super easy to pick up and drop off at the airport for going to Nafplio and back, plus there are places to stop en route.
Taxi from Nafplio would be prohibitively expensive, but I’m sure a private driver could be arranged if necessary.

I take the bus from Athens to Nafplio where I pick up my rental at Staikos Car Rental right on the waterfront.
I've used them for years and they have been great, no issues at all, lowest prices I could find for my needs.
I return the car to Nafplio then take the bus back to Athens.
I just did that this past April and it worked out great and will do so next April when I return to Nafplio area.

Thank you so much for this information. The car rental in Nafplio sounds like a possible good solution. How far is it from the bus stop. Just curious if you need a taxi to get there.
