Planning a trip through Mainland Greece with a rental car and we just discovered that we won't be allowed to take the rental into FYROM. We already have reservations for a few nights in Ohrid and would still like to make the trip. Does any one know if there is a bus from Kastoria or Florina into FYROM and on to Ohrid? We will also need to leave our rental car someplace safe for those few days. Is this possible?
Also, are there any possible complications waiting for us to cross the border?

When I was in that area three years ago, it was my understanding that I would have to park my car near the border, take a taxi across, and pick up a Macedonian bus on the other side.
