Has anyone taken bus X96 from the airport to Piraeus? What does it have in terms of baggage storage? In other words, will it be awkward to use if we are carrying backpacks?

No specific experience, but that bus is certainly popular with people doing the same. Might also check out the Metro, might involve a change, but less likely to get caught in traffic.

I don't think so. No experience with X96 but did use the bus from Constitution Sq to the airport. Just carried our luggage on the bus. Typical metro style of bus seating.

No, it won't be awkward. Inside the bus is a specific area for bags, packs, etc.
