Maeve Binchy: Nights of Rain and Stars
Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
I enjoyed both of these books set in Greece.
“Eleni” by Nicholas Gage, the author’s grandmother’s bravery in 1948 civil war, terror of Communists.
And also...
“Dinner with Persephone” by Patricia Starace, a memoir of her year living in Greece.
Captain Corelli's Mandolin, by Louis de Bernieres
Adore all Gerald Durrells book, was totally captivated by them as a child and they still make me laugh out loud
Brilliant writer🤗
I love Greek History, it’s one of my passions. There is a brilliant book by Joan Breton Connelly, called The Parthenon Enigma, which, I’m my opinion, should be in any Greek History lover’s bedside table!
