Booking of Train Tickets physically from Athens to Kalambaka

Hi guys,

Is it possible to buy train tickets physically at the station in Greece a day before? I will be arriving in Athens around 11am 24 june but the train I want to book to Kalambaka is at 8am the next day. Is it still possible to book it at the train station? Because I looked at the website and it says tickets will not be sold less than 24 hours before the departure of the train, but I am not sure whether it includes tickets bought physically at the station, or only online tickets.

I have tried using the website ticket.trainose.gr to book my ticket to Kalambaka from Athens on the 25 June 2017. However when I enter my card details at the final page, the page says "PAYMENT INFO MISSING. PLEASE CHECK THE FORM" . Could someone help if they have had a similar problem? Thanks!

Regards
Dex

You can buy tickets at the station or some other agencies, which is the typical way. It's relatively new that the OSE web site sells them in advance and I think there's not much benefit to do so. The 8:27 departure currently shows over 250 seats available to select.

Hi, so laura you are saying that I can purchase the tickets even when it's less than 24 hours before the departure of the train? For example I can buy it at 1pm when the train is leaving at 8am the next day? Thanks!

Yes, that's standard. There's no deadline to purchase in person.

Hi Dex!

Only keep in mind that when buying at the desk they are a bit mor expensive!

Cheers!

Hi! How much cheaper would it be online? Would I still get the below 26 discount then? :)

Booking online is around 8-10 euros cheaper. You can book with this price, up to 48hours in advance. And yes you get the under 26 yo discount.
