Blue Line between Syntagma Square and Piraeus

I will be traveling to Athens soon and I was hoping to get to the port of Piraeus from downtown Athens. I'm staying very near Syntagma Square and I see there is a metro line that exists between Syntagma and Piraeus. For some reason, the web link information I see for this Blue line does not clearly indicate whether or not this Blue line is fully operational the entire length between Syntagma and Piraeus yet. Does anyone know if this is fully operational yet? I was hoping to plan accordingly in case I needed to change my plans to take the Green line at Monastiraki instead. Thank you all in advance for the advice.

Originally, I was just going to post a link to a you tube video on this topic, but then I realized that “teaching someone to fish” is often kinder than just handing over a fish which is only good for one meal.

In major cities around the world, including Athens, there is an app that will answer just about any routing transport question you have. This app is called CityMapper. You also access it through the web at CityMapper.com.

You can press the settings icon and choose the city you are interested in, in this case Athens, and then input starting and ending points as well as time/date. It will give you transportation options to choose from, show the route, and any updates on disruptions.

I find this tool extremely helpful and have used it all over Europe. It has never steered me wrong. I even use it at home here in Seattle.

PS. There are lots of You Tube Videos on getting from Athens to Piraeus if interested.

Yes, the line is fully operational since October 2022.
