I will be in Athens for three days and want to venture on day trips. I've been to Corinth, and only had time for the Acropolis in Athens on my only trip. What other Biblical sites are a day trip length for Athens? We will hit the Archeological museums in Athens. Thanks.
St. Paul traveled throughout Greece including Athens. Google to find his route and locations in Greece. In Athens besides the fabulous Archeological Museum, I recommend the Cycladic Museum, small, very unique and a short walk from Syntagma Square.
Explore the Kolonaki neighborhood near it too.
Re: your other thread about Ephesus. We visited ancient Pergamon a little north of Izmir. It is an amazing ancient site but not Biblical. I am very surprised that most visitors to Ephesus don’t also visit Pergamon.
Honestly, I am surprised you are considering cruising again so soon. We won’t risk it.
Hi Dgawell,
Here is a link that will guide you to some biblical sites near Athens.
Another interesting site which is 50 miles away from Athens is Cape Sounion. You will find the ruins of the Ancient Temple of Poseidon there. It makes a good day trip from Athens.

Our cruise isn't until April, 2022. I hope the world is more back to normal by then. For now, I wouldn't set foot on any cruise ship, but that will change. We all need something to look forward to!
