Isn't "ocean/beachfront lodging ( with good beaches) on an island that is not too touristy", a contradiction of terms?

Which is more important, good beach or less tourists?

Any ( or what is) budget constraint?

Have you changed your mind ?
In another post you wanted to go to Naxos or Paros in addition to Crete....

Too touristy? If you want non-touristy with beachfront you won't find it in Paros or Naxos.

But you might try Kimolos

Kimolos two years ago, early September:

Beachfront? Stay For example here:

from 60€ to 100€ per night depending on the season and the type of room/studio

A favourite of ours is Niborio beach in Andros. Andros gets Greek visitors, especially at weekends, but few foreign tourists. The capital - Chora - is mainly pedestrianised and juts into the sea on a headland. On one side is Niborio with accommodation behind a beach road which contains a few cafes with sun beds on the beach. On the other is Paraporti which is entirely undeveloped.

Andros is 2 hours by ferry from Rafina port and then an hour by bus across the island tomChora. Rafina is half an hour by bus from Athens airport.

When you go can make a big difference on the amount of tourists you'll encounter.

Spring or Fall will be off season so far less tourists. Fall may be better as the weather is still very nice for a day at the beach and the Aegean still warm from the summer heat.

Lots of islands with beautiful beaches so check out this web site to get more info.
