Looking for suggestions for a high end hotel in Athens with a good view of the Acropolis.

King George Hotel, Grande Bretagne, and the Electra Metropolis are all-time classic 5-star hotels in the heart of the city and they are excellent choices. Read about them here: https://athensbylocals.com/acropolis-view-hotels/

Electra Metropolis has a great rooftop bar to enjoy the Acropolis at sunset.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Grand Bretagne in Athens. The King George is next door.
On the other hand, we had a terrible, really awful, experience at the Electra Palace and do not recommend anyone ever staying there.

I would recommend the AthensWas Design Hotel. It is on a lovely pedestrian street - Dionysiou Areopagitou. The rooftop restaurant called Sense, has a view of the Parthenon and Acropolis. The AthensWas Hotel is near the Acropolis Museum and a short walk to the Acropolis as well as the Plaka area. We met our Athens Walks tour guide and group at the Fresko Yogurt Bar right next door to the hotel. We chose a room with a balcony view of the shady street. In the evening you can go for a close up walk to see the Parthenon lit up.
