B & b, sightseeing in Rhodes, Greece

Many years ago my husband and I spent a day in Rhodes. I still remember how beautiful it was and am taking our daughter there in June. She and I will arrive late on Saturday (flying from Athens) and will fly out early Monday. We'd like to stay at a b&b in the walled city...someplace clean and charming with friendly hosts and a good breakfast.

We'll probably take a bus to Lindos just because I remember how beautiful the view from its acropolis was. Are most places in the walled city open on Sunday?

Will we be able to get a taxi to the airport before 6 a.m.?

Thanks!

Try Hotel Attiki in old town. Wonderful place with very helpful owners. And yes, you can get an early taxi ... We took one around 5 am. Just have your hotel arrange it the night before.

We loved Klimt Guest House, a very small (3 rooms) B&B within the city walls. We spent almost a week there and would love to visit again. Breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious. We enjoyed Juta's cooking so much that we ate many dinners at the B&B, too. She also has a wonderful dog, Max, who sometimes walked through town with us - we loved him! It really was a very memorable stay and we thought Rhodes was wonderful.
