Hi there- we 3 are driving from Athens to the Peloponnese, then by ferry to Corfu and back to Athens. Anyone recommend auto rental companies? Thanks again for any suggestions

We used Pop’s Cars, http://www.popscar.gr, a couple of years ago. No complaints, picked it up in Athens (in town, because we didn’t need to/want to drive in Athens). Drove around the Peloponnese, dropped it in Ermioni and caught the ferry to Hydra. Pop’s was one of the few (maybe the only) to allow a rental like that at a reasonable price.

Be sure to go to your local AAA office to pick up an International Driving Permit, no test or membership required.

We used Athens Car Rental and had a good customer service experience (met us at the airport, paperwork at the car, and then we returned to Piraeus a week later and they met us there...)
