Athens to Santorini Flight Advice

We are flying into Athens on Tuesday October 3rd and arrive at 1:50 pm. Our layover before arriving in Athens is in Paris and it is an hour and a half layover. Do you think we are safe to book a flight to Santorini from Athens that departs at 3:40pm? Is 2 hours going to be enough time or should we play it safe and take the 5:15pm flight from Athens to Santorini? We are in the Comfort+ seats so we should be one of the early ones off the flight into Athens so hoping that will speed up the process of getting through customs. Thanks for any advice!

2 hours is enough time. ATH is small-ish and it's easy to find your departure gate. The customs process in Athens is practically non-existent. Just walk through the "Nothing To Declare" door. You will have already gone through Passport Control in Paris.

I would book the 5.15. While you may have enough time in Athens, you have to deal with two connecting flights. And I assume you have immigration in Paris. Everyone has to be on time to make your original plan work. While I hate waiting in airports it is better than not having a back up plan in case you miss the flight to Athens.

I would take the later flight. Its only 90 minutes extra, and gives you a cushion in case there is any hiccup getting into/out of Paris.

Passport control should occur in Paris and your arrival in Athens will be like flying Dallas to LA, as far as official scrutiny is concerned.

If you have checked luggage, there will be the task of retrieval and re-check in Athens, as it sounds like the last flight is independent of the earlier ones?... if so, you may not have that much extra time to be bored to death while waiting for your Santorini flt.
