Athens to Naxos Airport — able to make connecting flight?

Has anyone taken Aegean Air to head to another island from ATH airport? I need advice on the time it takes to go through customs and head to another terminal.

My 10/4 flight arrives at 16:35 in Athens from the US, and I’m hoping to make the last 17:35 flight to Naxos. This sounds WAY too tight to be able to make it, but it’s my first time to Greece... would appreciate thoughts from experienced travelers! Thank you RS peeps!

Long haul flights can easily be delayed for an hour for a variety of reasons so it’s cutting it way too close. My general rule of thumb is 3 to 4 hours for unprotected connections. I actually prefer an overnight.

That is way too tight. Even if your flight is not delayed from the US it will still be far too little time. Most people recommend at least two hours between flights. It looks like you may have to spend the night in Athens, which is not a bad thing and get the next day's flight or even take the next day's ferry to Naxos.

Snowballs in Satan's domicile have better long term survival odds than you making that connection.

My instinct told me all you’ve said (at min 2 hrs for a connection), but the wishful thinker in me wanted a second opinion. ;) Have a good week and thanks everyone!
