I'm into Athens this May and trying to figure out best route down to Ithaca in the Ionian Sea. Anyone done this recently? There is a flight/ ferry combo through the neighboring island of Argostoli and then there is a bus/ferry combo Athens, Patras, Ithaca. Either way it takes a day+ due to lousy connections.
