Help! We plan to visit Athens for 4 nights in May 2025, and my eyes have been googled senseless trying to look for nice self-catering accommodation in central Athens - if I like the look and price of somewhere, I find out that it is either next to/in Omonia or nearby where we don't want to be, or else when I read reviews everything is fine except is it next to a really busy road with traffic noise keeping you awake all night, or some other snag.
I have looked at all the main sites, booking.com, vrbo, airbnb, hotels.com, etc. etc. and I just can't find anywhere clean, central, safe, or that doesn't have some downside. Any recommendations for some gems that must exist out there please! btw we are a couple, so a one-bedroom apartment would be great! Thanks!!

We stayed here in May 2022 and it was fabulous. Excellent location, excellent hosts with really good communication, super clean. Café next-door. Little balcony. It was great and I would highly recommend.
