Athens, Paros, Sifnos, Serifos?

We are a family of 4 (2 boys ages 10 & 12) traveling to Greece. My husband and I have been to Athens, Crete, Santorini and Naxos 27 years ago. We loved Naxos the most. We are hoping this is a good itinerary to show our boys what we loved about the Greek islands. We enjoy walking/hiking a lot and swimming and stopping in restaurants for snacks and meals. We are not looking for nightlife. We are going early June and spending 2.5 days in Athens. After that we are thinking 3 nights in Paros, and 5 nights in Sifnos with a possible day trip or one night in Serifos. Any recommendations are welcome on lodging, restaurants, hikes, etc...Thanks.
Best,
Suzanne

I understand island hopping is a cute idea. However, you'd spend too much at the ports embarking and disembarking, according to your current plan. I have only been to Paros (5 years ago) and really liked it. You can take a ferry to Anti-paros, which is the upscale part of the two islands. When in Paros, stay in Parikia (capital town), where there is a local community. Resist Naoussa (spelling correct?) which is mainly a tourist only town. Renting a car is a good idea, because the most scenic beaches are usually not reachable by public buses. For automatics, reserve well in advance.

Do Paros plus one more island. Less is more. Don't do Naxos again, as it has changed so much due to overtourism.

Ummmm ... I don’t think anyone would consider Antiparos to be “ ... the upscale part of Paros.” It’s charming but certainly not what I would consider upscale.

And Naxos overtouristed? It gets busy in July & August but overtouristed? I think Naxos in June would still be wonderful.

But I also think 3 or 4 nights in Paros (with a day trip to Antiparos to see for yourself) and 4 or 5 nights in Sifnos would be lovely. June is a great time for Greece.
