I am planning a 2 day trip to Meteora from Athens. The train back to Athens arrives Larissa's Central Train Station at 22:26.
I would like to know if there are cabs available on a Sunday late evening 22:26 to get back to my hotel or should I book a transfer service.

At Larissa station you can take the metro (line M2) which runs until around midnight. The M2 line goes through Omonia, Syntagma, Acropolis, etc.
I don't know where your hotel is but it's likely near to a metro station on the M2 line
And there is no need to book the metro in advance. :))

Yes there are cabs available. There were quite a few people getting cabs in May when we came back on that train, there is a taxi stand but it didn't seem as if people were lining up in an orderly fashion.
