Good morning,
I will be spending a few nights in Athens at the end of April. It will be my first time. I have a reservation at the Marriott but have been told it is far from the city center. Can you recommend a hotel with a cost of no more than $200 per night.

Check out the Attalos hotel, it’s nit right beside the Acropolis, but is very central, and pretty much everything is within walking distance. It has a rooftop deck with a view of the Acropolis, and it was quiet and the staff was great.

I went to booking dot com. Preferred a hotel not far from our Rick Steves tour hotel (it was booked). You can book through them or get the info and go to the individual websites. We are near the archeological museum.

We stayed at the Athena Foss in September 2022 and enjoyed it. It is still getting good reviews on Booking dot com and still under $200/night.

Another hotel near Attalos (modest small hotel) is Cecil. Not expensive but very close to the Central historical area.

Thank you everyone. I was able to get a room at the Acropolis Museum Hotel. It’s in a great location. Has anyone stayed there?
