My wife and I will arrive in Athens on October 16 at 14:00 and will be leaving October 18 from the Port of Pireaus near Athens for a cycling trip. So we'll be in Athens the nights of Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th.
I'm interested in recommendations for a (preferably) 4-star hotel for those days.

Hotel Hera. We’ve stayed here twice now. Great location. Walkable to the acropolis, the-metro and the plaka. Close to restaurants. Take a taxi to the port.

Our stay at InnAthens Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable. Large rooms, immaculately clean, excellent staff and service & great breakfast. Highly recommend!

Make sure you avoid Hotel Electra Palace where we had the worst hotel experience in all of our travels.
Look at Hotel Grand Bretagne and the King George.
