A friend and I are heading out for a 14 day cruise out of Athens and are flying in a day early. Anyone have any recommendations for a simple budget hotel in a good location?

We are in Athens now and would highly recommend the Dilan Suites and Apartments on Falirou street. Beautiful and clean boutique hotel near the Acropolis. The owner is an architect. He also works the front desk and was so so kind and helpful. I tried to give him a tip for all his help and he wouldn’t accept it.
We also stayed at the Attalos but this is so much bigger and nicer for the same price or maybe even a little less. We found the Attalos to be incredibly cramped.

I can recommend Airbnb in Athens. We did a search on the app and read the reviews. We found a nice apt. in Plaka just a few minutes walk from the Acropolis. That is the very heavily tourist mecca so might not be what you’re looking for, but it’s convenient.

A budget hotel could mean one thing to someone and another thing to someone else.
Providing what you are willing to spend is the best way to get a response.
Having said that I always stay at the Attalos Hotel on Athinas St. Clean, safe and centrally located and could be considered a budget hotel if we knew what your budget was.
