We are going to be in Athens for one day at the end of a cruise. Can anyone recommend a private guide or a company to go through?

Athens Walking Tours are outstanding. There are several choices. We loved the early morning Acropolis tour with Kostas as our guide. https://www.athenswalkingtours.gr

I would use Viator as a guide but, if you only have a day the acropolis tour will take a huge chunk out of your time anyway. I would then go to the museum and head to the plaka for lunch as somebody else mentioned.
