The Athens City Pass says that it includes prioroty entrance to the Acropolis. How does this work when the Acropolis website says that it requires timed prepurchased tickets? DO you end up in the line for tickets? We will be there mid October.
I assume you're talking about the Athens City Pass from Turbo Pass.
All these so-called "Priority" and "Skip the Line" services from these third-party services are fakes, designed to make you believe you'll receive preferential treatment. There is no priority access to the Acropolis other than the one you get by purchasing your ticket in advance.
Please read the disclaimer below:
Regarding the Turbo Pass City Pass, do you need this ticket that will cost you a fortune and, to justify its price, includes places you'll never visit, such as the Herakleidon Museum, the Kotsanas Museum, the Lalaounis Museum, the Museum of Illusions, the Automobile Museum, and the War Museum?
If not, buy your tickets on the official Helenic Heritage website.
