We will be arriving in Athens on October 14 for an October 16 cruise out of Lavrio. I see on some travel websites transfers FROM the port to the airport. Do you have any other suggestions to get us to an area hotel before the cruise? Thanks!

I think the best option is to take a taxi.
There is a bus from the airport with a connection to another bus in Markopoulo, it's about an hour's journey by bus, cheaper than a taxi which should cost around €50, but twice as long and not a direct route.

Thanks. I'm hoping for a transfer or taxi that isn't TOO expensive! However, it looks pretty far away!

For 2 passengers to the PORT it shows ~$62; to some other place in town looks to be ~$70
