Any hotel recommendations for Naxos?

Hello,

I'm traveling with my husband, our daughter and son in their early 20's to Naxos for a couple of days from Paros. Any recommendations for hotels.
Thanks,
Kim

Our stay at Hotel Grotta was terrific. Family owned; immaculately clean; easy walk to town; gorgeous sunsets from their rooftop bar; best breakfast you will ever encounter. Highly recommend.

Kim, it helps a lot if you can say WHEN you are going! Conditions differ a lot, between May vs August, for example. However since you have just a couple of days, I'd agree that Hotel Grotta is strategic, since it's just up a (steep) road from the port pier and "bus square". If Grotta is booked, you might try Illiada Suites, right next door.

From Grotta, you can quickly access the fascinating Agora "maze" (unllike the flat-level Paros "Maze") the Naxos one winds up to the stunning fortress at Top -- with its tiny & Stunning Museum packed w Minoan-idol treasures. the waterfront promenade & adjoining lanes have many lively bars/tavernas w music in summer. And if you want to try one of Naxos' fabled sandy beaches, the Buses leave right at foot of ferry pier.

If you don't mind a climb up the maze, Hotel Panorama has a few nice rooms w Sunset views, especially the "penthouse" room. In past, they did not have breakfasts -- a drawback, since no cafes up there. However they do have fridge & electric teakettle, so with foresight you can have coffee/tea & your own yogurt & pastry on balcony w great views. (Good rates as well). And at Panorama you are just steps from the Castle Walls, the museum, the Fortezza and the Palazzo courtyard for evening musical events (at least in past years).

Thank you for your suggestions. We are heading there in the beginning of June. We checked Hotel Grotta right away and of course they are booked and have been for months. We could stay on Paros but we thought it would be nice to explore Naxos. I will look at your other suggestions. We will have a car but we wanted to be able walk to town area. Some people recommended the upper St. George Beach area as well to be able to walk to town. Anyone ever stay at Argo Boutique Hotel Alkyoni Beach Resort?

We stayed at the Adriani Hotel in Naxos. The location was perfect (walking distance to the port) and the breakfast was delicious! The owner was a little gruff and the front desk is closed in the evenings, but the rooms are very spacious. I would stay there again and I recommend it often to my clients.

We loved our stay at Hotel Palatia on the edge of St. George's Beach. A very easy walk into Old Town. The owner, Manos, is very friendly and helpful.
