Any activity, beach, and restaurant suggestions on Mykonos

Looking for any suggestions for Mykonos in August - beginning tomorrow actually! Traveling with my husband and 19 and 21 year old daughters. We have a morning kayaking trip booked so far and not much else. Like a combination of activity (hike to Oia was nice!) with some time for relaxation, plus any beach recommendations (some partying ok to see it for the girls, much less for my husband and me - looking for the prettiest beaches). We’re staying near Platos Gialos. Also looking for great food, so any restaurant suggestions would be much appreciated.

As an aside, we’re in Santorini right now and so thankful I listened to Janet and stayed in Firostefani - it’s beautiful and quiet, yet walkable to many restaurants and to Fira (about 15 minutes). Fira and Oia are like a different world - so busy and much, much less pleasant. And, we have amazing sunsets! I’m sure we will miss the peaceful quiet once we get to Mykonos (though our hotel seems like it will be quiet).

Thank you!

If you missed it on the news (global it would appear) avoid DK Oysters in Mykonos, unless you want to pay over €400 for a plate of oysters and a couple of drinks.

A few weeks before two American tourists had been charged €598.72 for two mojitos and 2 crab legs in the same restaurant
The tip of 78€ had been added without the agreement of the customers.

Some time earlier, two other tourists were charged €118 for two cocktails.

You might consider a visit to Delos, the birthplace of Apollo. You can take a ferry over and spend the morning there. Note there is not much in the way of facilities so take water, snacks etc. the ruins are extensive, a small museum and not much shade.

Our Greek friends suggested that we dine at Katrin’s ( Madison de Katrin) on Mykonos for a birthday dinner and it was excellent! Try to get a reservation! I booked ours way in advance. Our friends also said it was where Jackie O did take out food for her yacht!
Make sure you take a boat over to Delos which historically was considered the center of the Cycladic Islands and in mythology, birthplace of Apollo and his twin sister Artemis.
We liked Mykonos much, much more than Santorini but preferred Paros and Crete over both of them.
