Anyone familiar with this area and can share any advice about local transportation to town via bus or water taxi? I tried to look up bus transportation , but looks like it doesn't go out that far, maybe a beach close by where we can walk to so we can take a water taxi?

while i have not been there, from reading other posts and reviews the area you mentioned is an half hour uphill hike to Ornos Beach, where there is a bus route. your best bet would be to contact the hotel or the airbnb host that you are staying at.

I hope you have not locked yourself into a rental before determining whether it is reachable by local transportation.

Yes, I did using Fantasy Travel, can someone recommend a car rental agency on Mykonos. The resort Casa Del Mar will pick us up and back upon arrival but they call a service to take us into to town for 6 and it would be $30-40E each way if we want to just go in for dinner. So needless to say we are looking at renting a car, advice appreciated...

Yes, I think we are going to try to switch the reservation to a place closer to Mykonos town or at least close to a bus location,so we can get around without a car, any suggestions for 6?
