After taking bus to Akrotiri would like to visit Pyrgos and then possibly Santo Winery. What is best bus ( if any) to get to Pyrgos from Akrotiri?
I assume I can walk 15 minutes from Pyrgos to Santo winery after and pick up bus to Fira/Oia off main road.

Get off the bus coming from Akrotiri (the one going to Fira) when it reaches Santo Winery. Catch the bus to Pyrgos from there. Just tell the driver you want to go to Pyrgos.
Any way to determine time table of that bus going to Pyrgos from Santo winery (bus line?) . If not, will wing it when we get there, thanks.
Look at the timetable for Fira to Perissa. Add about 10-15 minutes to the Fira departure time. That's when the bus will get to the Santo Winery. http://ktel-santorini.gr/ktel/index.php/en/services-eng/timetable-summer-eng/list/15
I see on this website that they don't show the distinction between the express bus to Perissa and the one that stops along the way. The express bus doesn't stop at the winery. That's something you'll have to deal with once you're there. Maybe there's a separate timetable for the express bus posted at the Fira bus terminal. If you're standing there and the bus to Perissa doesn't stop for you just wait for the next one.
