One last question on Greece, and I promise I am done! :)
We are flying into Athens late at night, approximately 10:30. We will need a hotel by the hotel, or relatively close as not to have to travel far to get there. Something in the 150 euro/night range. Suggestions? We will then take off that next morning to Nafplio.

Besides the Sofitel, your choices are Peri's Hotel, St. Thomas B&B and Pantheon Hotel. They all have websites.

There's also a Holiday Inn which is a 10 minute shuttle bus trip from the airport.

We loved Peri's when we got in late this last May. They picked us up at the airport, and dropped us off for our flight the next morning; and the "cab ride" and breakfast was included in our room rate. The beds were new, and it was in a quiet location. Check Trip Advisor for reviews on any choice you may consider.

There is the Soffitel. That's the closest right by the airport. Might be more than 150. You can also stay at the Holiday Inn Express. They are 11 km away and offer a 24 hour shuttle.
