We are planning a trip to Athens & Santorini in late August- early September. We also want to go to Paris on our way out but plane tickets from Athens or Santorini to Paris seem incredibly expensive. Any tips or tricks?

End of August and early September is probably high season for Europeans who spent August at the beach and then fly home. At www.skyscanner.com, I see a few Santorini-Paris, 1-connection choices for $225 per person on dates such as September 9 or 10.

Specifically look at Air France return to Athens and see if that ticket would permit a stop-over in Paris in either direction. Then you would only have to worry about the Athens - Santorini connection (ferry or flight both ways, or one each way).
