Aegean airlines Greek Inter island

Purchased tickets for inter island flights via Chase Saffire points. They booked me on the lowest code share (economy light)-only one personal item, permitted weight 8kg! Has anyone flown Aegean lately? How strict are they at the gate? There are 3 classes of economy tickets-can I upgrade to economy flex that permits 13 kg carry on? Website and Aegean phone agent not helpful. Arghhh

I'm not sure what Chasse Saffire points are but if you booked your flight with a third party rather than with Aegean you would see what's available with each ticket.

Their website has links to click on for more information. Click "Travel Info" and you'll get a drop down with lots of help.

Aegean is rated one of the best flights in Europe. I've used them several times and had no problem checking in, safety and being on time.

No airline is perfect but Aegean is very good.

With Aegean you have 3 possible fares in Economy, the LIGHT with a single 8 kg cabin bag, the FLEX with an 8 kg cabin bag + a bag to be placed under the seat and the ConfortFLEX = FLEX + a 23 kg checked bag. If you want to add baggage everything is explained here:

https://en.aegeanair.com/travel-info/travelling-with-aegean/baggage/add-baggage/

Note that cabin baggage dimensions may vary depending on the aircraft. If you are flying on an ATR42 or ATR72 turboprop the maximum cabin baggage dimensions are smaller than those for flights with Airbus A320

Also note there are sizers at the airport if you want to check if your bagage fits the allowed size,
