Advice on Santorini Hotel in Firostefani

Hi, my husband and I plus two young adults will be in Santorini for 3 nights in August.

Any thoughts on this hotel - Tstiouras Collection, “House of Wind”? The view says "sea" - anyone know if that means Caldera view?
https://www.tsitouras.com/

It’s in Firostefani, as recommended in this group, has excellent reviews (but not that many), and has enough beds for four. Any other hotels you'd recommend instead in Firostefani or elsewhere?

Thank you!

The website opening screen shows a caldera view from the swimming pool ... this screen does not depict a guestroom, but I'm supposing that at least some in the hotel have a caldera view. your question appears to be about an available room that was shown to you. And yes, "sea view" is the weasel-wording that actually means the view looks EAST toward the morning sun, and a distant view of the eastern sea. If a room has a caldera view, you can be sure that it will be noted in the description. BTW, when the view is less attraactive, room photos tend to concentrate on beautiful bedding and luxurious bathroom features. Just sayin.

Thank you, Janet. I called them and they said that it was a Caldera view. It sounds like given your experience, I should request an actual photo of the view and patio area.

I will let you know, we are staying at Tsitouras in June! Family of six, we have two "houses" during our stay. Located right where we want to be in Firastephani. I had a heck of a time finding someone in Santorini to answer a hotel phone in February or March when I was looking for a place to stay, but the folks at Tsitouras were right there, answering questions, helping us get all booked. With Tsitouras, so far, very impressed.

I hope you have a nice wonderful time! It does seem like a great place to stay. Since we picked the same hotel for Santorini, any suggestions for any other islands you’re visiting next? We’re between Mykonos (I know it’s touristy, but first timers. Also beautiful beaches and small enough to see in 3 nights) and Naxos (this group loves Naxos)? Thanks!

We only have one week vacation, we all work full time (in order to afford places like Tsitouris!) So it's Athens, Santorini and then back home for our group.

Oh and I liked they pick you up from airport, the rooms have wine and beer, I think. Kind of a nice splurge for us honestly. But it is a big celebration and we are only staying three nights. Hope you have a great time!
