Advance tickets needed? Epidavrous and Mycenae

Hi!
We’re going to be staying in Nafplio for a few days towards the end of September. I saw some links on my booking.com reservation for advance ‘Beat the line’ tickets for both Epidavrous and Mycenae.

Is it recommended to get tickets in advance for these sites? I’m thinking that maybe crowds will thin out after Labor Day, but I have no idea.

Thanks for recommendations,
Courtney

Been a while since I was there, but both places are very large sites, so it is not a situation where tickets "sell out", nor would lines ever be very long, except if you arrive right after a couple bus tours.

No sense going through a third party, just buy when you get there and what works for your schedule.

Not sure how you are getting there, Public transport does work OK, but may have limited times that it runs, meaning that you could probably not hit both in the same day. A car or private transport would be more efficient.

We’ll have a car, and might be able to walk to the sites. Thanks @Paul for the feedback.
Also I realize that sometimes there are private guides available at sites, so that might be another option.

No need for advance tickets, esp in September. We got to Epidavros when it opened in mid June and had the whole site to ourselves for a good half hour!
