Hello! We will be travelling to Greece (Athens and Crete) from April 21, 2025 to April 29, 2025 with 2 kids ages 9 and 12. We are thinking of doing a guided tour of Acropolis on the morning of April 22nd. We plan to do the rest of the sites using RS Audio guides, but figured the kids will not have a lot of patience with the earbuds for too long (esp the 9 year old), so wanted to do the Acropolis with an actual person. I have a few questions related to the tours:
- I looked into the tours by "Athens Walking Tours" and I like their early morning tour. Has anyone done this tour or have any thoughts on it?
- I have read on this forum that getting a private guide can be a good option. Does anyone know the typical price points for private guides? We have budget constraints, so don't want to do this option if it is very expensive.
- Does anyone have any other tour recommendations for Acropolis? I liked the mythology tour by Alternative Athens, but they dont do just the Acropolis.
Thank you!

Alternative Athens has a tour for the Acropolis only (but apparently it's in the afternoon):

We did the early morning tour by Athens Walking Tours to see the Acropolis. It was outstanding and the highlight of our trip. Our guide Kostas was wonderful, fun, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it.
Niki Olympic Tours. Niki gave us an incredible tour of Athens and tailored it to meet our interests - perfect for children
