Hello, I plan on touring the Acropolis on November 9 and would like to purchase a ticket in advance. When I go to the official site ticket.gr and select anytime in early November, the tickets are not available. The message I receive is “ e-Ticketing service is not available for this specific selection”.
Will they become available later? Perhaps I am trying to purchase too far in advance. Thank you.
There have been significant pricing changes this year since April 1st. It's possible that this unavailability is due to the summer/winter fare changes. This was the reason for the unavailability of online tickets in previous years.
However, starting in 2025, there is supposed to be only one summer and winter fare, so it could be the system itself that's malfunctioning.
Anyway, don't worry; you have plenty of time to try again later in a week or two.
Note that there will be free admission days on the first and third Sundays of each month, from November 1st to March 31st each year.
