Acropolis tickets etc.

We will be in Greece for 2 weeks in August including 4 night in Athens. We are looking for the best option for getting Acropolis tickets up front. Ideally, we'd like to get skip the line tickets (not just skip the ticket line, but actually avoid the entrance queue as well) that are actually combo tickets (i.e. Acropolis, Agora, Hadrian's libary etc.) but I can't really tell if such a combo ticket with true skip the line access exists. The combo ticket previously available on tiqets is now not available, according to their site. Our other thought was to buy the skip the line Acropolis tour with a guide (which we've heard is a good way to enjoy it), but in that case I suppose there is no other option for a combo ticket for the other sites? I expect we'd just have to get those tickets individually in that case? Thank you all and happy travels!

We were in Athens near the beginning of August. We didn't get tickets in advance, but found that going first thing in the morning (to the Acropolis) meant that we did not wait in line much for tickets or entrance (10 minutes?), and we went to the Agora midday and there was no line. By the time we departed the Acropolis there were many more people! So I recommend going first thing to avoid the heat (!), avoid the crowds, and wait in minimal lines. Whether you get a tour is something I dont know about, but you dont need a tour to avoid a long wait, ime

Agree with Jessica. Get there at opening at 8 a.m. You'll have a good hour before the tour groups/tourists show up. It's also cooler, quieter and you'll have a much better experience without pushing, shoving and obnoxious tourists rushing in front of you for photo ops.

You should be able to get the combo ticket at the main ticket office at the Acropolis. Better yet go to any archeological site in Athens the day before and buy the ticket!

We went late afternoon on what had been a very hot day in June and was very pleasant with few crowds or lines. Buy the combo tickets.
