Acropolis Tickets

hello,
ive been trying to purchase tickets for Acropolis for May 4, 2026, and have been to the official site, https://hhticket.gr, but keep getting a pop-up that says e-tickets "not available for this date". Anyone else have this issue? is it too early? Is this normal? (today is April 3, I check each day). They are available through April 30, but not May.

I actually sent an email to HH and was told to check daily, they would be on sale soon for the summer months.

Has anyone had any luck? I’m still getting this message - hoping to book for July…

Hello travelers!
I contacted the tour guide that we hired for our Acropolis visit and she told me tickets go on sale on the first of the month for the month you wish to purchase. I’m going to try on the last couple days of April as we need tix on May 4.

I saw this morning that tickets for May are finally released. I was able to get tickets for the 8:00-9:00 time slot for our trip in May.

Thanks Tish! That’s what I was beginning to think. Hoping they release more summer ones early on - I’d love to be able to book it before we leave (we’re traveling from June into July and this will be at the tail end of the trip)

Hi, All - I'm in the same boat--trying to get tix for June 1, ideally. I keep getting this message for many (all?) dates in June: "e-Ticketing service is not available for this specific selection." I don't know if that means I am early or late to the game. Does anyone know whether this means June is already sold out, as of May 14, or whether I should just keep trying daily?

Thanks!

Keep checking daily. Tickets for the upcoming month go on sale the last week of the prior month. That was what happened in my case. We were leaving for our trip on April 24 and I was able to purchase tix for May 4 just before we left on April 23!

Thank you, Tish.

Also, my guide books advise that I get a combo ticket (i.e., "joint visit"). If I purchase the ticket called "Acropolis and Slopes" at hhtickets.gr, is that the combo ticket or just single visit? i'm clicking around and can't quite tell. If the HH ticket isn't the combo, does anyone know where I can get that?

Similarly, I'm going to get tickets for Mycenae, but it looks like I might have to buy a handful of them (at a minimum, Messene and Treasury of Atreus) separately?

Thanks for your help!

The combo ticket that allowed visits to 7 sites over a few days was discontinued two years ago. It is now one ticket per site.

The "Acropolis & Slopes" ticket is the one that allows you to visit all the monuments and temples on the Acropolis hill, including the Parthenon.

You do not need to buy tickets for Mycenae in advance; you will buy them on site.

In more casual French, you can say "'y'a pas de quoi" instead of "je vous en prie". :-)

Just to confirm: tickets are not available till the last week of the previous month. Since we are wanting to go August 2, I will not see tickets available till July 27 which makes me a little nervous....any recommended backup plan if they are sold out that day?

Tickets for the Acropolis are currently available for purchase online for visits through the end of 2026.
I just checked: for August 2nd, only the 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM slots are sold out (displayed in gray and unselectable). All time slots from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM are available for booking.

It's not really the wrong link; it was the correct one before April of this year, before they updated their website.

As I understand it, everything that used to be under "hhticket.gr" must now be accessed via hh.gr.

They should have set up a redirect; it's not your fault.

I have tried repeatedly over the last four or five days but my credit card keeps getting declined. I have contacted their Help Support on several occasions and although I always get a response, it still does NOT work!!!
So very frustrating. I am trying to get admission in mid-August and although tickets are available, I cannot get past the credit card process even with three different credit cards. This is so very frustrating

Once I did get an Order# via email with no instructions on how to retrieve tickets. I even gave the Order ID to the Help Desk but they ignored it and just asked me to try again because no payment was processed.
Hopeless process but I do not want to risk waiting until I arrive in Athens to purchase from their vending machine ... I only have two days in Athens before going island hopping.
I would appreciate any advice on how to overcome this hurdle because that's what it is sadly.

I just had a lengthy conversation with my bank CITIBANK. Apparently my payment attempts were trying to process through a bank in Antarctica so it seems to me that Hellenic Heritage online tickets may have been hacked. I am not certain but I suspect something very strange is happening with HH.gr e-ticket processing

Although I’m no expert, I find it hard to imagine an online booking system that processes tens of thousands of bank transactions a day failing to notice it had been hacked and immediately halting all transactions until the problem was resolved.

If a hack has occurred, I would look at my own computer first. But in my opinion, it’s more likely an issue with transaction security standards.
