Acropolis On line tickets - Caution!

Read in one of your forums to ensure we used Hellenic Etickets for our purchase to visit the Acropolis. Here's our review

Beware! Disappointing Experience with Hellenic Heritage E-Tickets (hhticket.gr)
We chose to purchase our Acropolis tickets in advance through Hellenic Heritage E-Tickets (hhticket.gr), as recommended by several online forums. The purchase process was straightforward, and we received an email receipt with an order number—but no actual e-tickets ever arrived.
When we visited the main ticket gate the day before our scheduled visit, staff assured us that our order confirmation would suffice for entry. However, when we returned the next morning for our 8:00 AM time slot, we were denied entry and directed to call a number posted at the ticket window.
To our surprise, we were not alone—several other couples encountered the same issue. Given that the ticket booth displayed contact information specifically for Hellenic Heritage E-Tickets, it seems this problem is not uncommon.
Faced with no other option, we purchased new tickets on the spot. Fortunately, the lines were manageable in late April. We then contacted the company seeking a refund for the original, unused tickets. Disappointingly, customer service refused, stating that we should have contacted them in advance if we hadn't received the e-tickets—despite acknowledging that this issue "happens all the time."
In hindsight, we would have been better off buying tickets directly at the gate. We strongly advise others to consider this option unless Hellenic Heritage improves their ticket delivery and support processes.

I don’t know why you ran into such issues but when we bought tickets in 2023 & 2024 we encountered no such issues and the confirmation email also contained our E-tickets. In fact, at the entrance to the ancient agora there is a sign that says that the times tickets don’t actually correspond to the actual time printed on the tickets and that we could enter at any time during the day, and so we did.

I’ve purchased tickets through the Hellenic Heritage site four times in the last week and the site worked perfectly every time. Two emails arrived, one a transaction receipt from “no-reply” and the other named: TAP Booking Engine (both with transaction number in the title) came with the tickets as PDF attachments—both quickly sent.
Purchasing tickets this way is highly preferable because you do have to purchase a timed entry slot. Even now, in the “early” summer season, there were anywhere from 8 to 15 tour buses at every site we’ve been. If you wait to do a walk up purchase, you may not get to go right in. Less traveled sites may allow you to come in at times not posted on your ticket—but highly traveled sites will stick to the travel times on your ticket. We arrived one place a bit earlier than expected, but were not allowed to go in early.
