Acropolis Entry Question

Can the Side Entrance (Dionysus Theater entrance, the side entrance is located on the south-eastern side) be used to enter with tickets from the official site? Some places say it's only for small groups and skip-the-line tours. In one official article, they say there is no such thing as skip-the-line. If you already have a ticket, you still have to wait on the line for ticket holders and go through security. Is skip-the-line for real and worth it?

It would solve soooooooo much confusion if "skip the line" was presented as "skip the TICKET BUYING line" because that's all it is. Everyone still has to go through the security line at every site in the known world. That being said, I take every opportunity to purchase advance tickets whenever possible. Otherwise, you're standing in two lines, instead of one.

"Skip the line" is nothing more than a marketing scam to make you believe you'll get preferential treatment. Furthermore, resellers who talk about "Skip the Line" sell tickets for more than the official website, which is this one:

As soon as you've booked a ticket and have it with you with its QR code , show it to security at the entrance. That's it.

The entry procedures are strictly the same at the main entrance as at the side entrance.

Anyway, the Parthenon has been waiting for you for 2,500 years. Do these possible 15-minute maximum waits really count?

The best advice I can give anyone about Acropolis Entry is go right when it opens (actually be in line a bit before this). I went twice. The first time was with a tour group midday and there were points where I was standing still in a mass of people for 3-5 minutes before anything moved. It wasn't that great of an experience. Fortunately, I had purchased a ticket for opening the next day. I lined up right at the front and had a terrific experience of enjoying the Acropolis. I was amazed at the difference that the time of day can make.
