We were very disappointed with the car and the service. They rush you like crazy for both check-out and check-in because the car is in the short-term parking. If you like to take a few minutes to adjust mirrors or to get to know the cabin, forget it. On return they yanked my suitcase out of the back and broke the handle. (Their response was - verbatim - “have a nice life.”) They gave us the car with the tank 3/4 full and it’s really difficult to return it that way without paying for more fuel than you need. And they really tried to knick us for damage - a small panel missing under the side view mirror - but very fortunately we had a photo showing it. (Why they rent a vehicle in that condition is another story.) Finally, I’ve rented many times in Europe before and gotten nice little Fiats or Renaults and liked them quite well but I hated the Nissan they gave us and of course everything was so rushed we had no choice. We loved driving around Peloponnese but next time we’ll stick with Enterprise.

I know ACR has a lot of success on the travel forums, they are neither better nor worse than dozens of other local rental companies.
Maybe being mentioned so often in the forums makes them believe they can treat customers however they want. Who knows?
Personally, I always avoid services that are too popular on travel forums. Those that are more “discreet” are just as good.
As for the tank to be filled to the same level as when you took the car, that's how it works with the vast majority of rental companies in Greece.

We had very good experience with ACR. we had it brought to our hotel and there was plenty of time to ask questions and check gas, mirrors, etc.
I would definitely use them again.
