8 night itinerary feedback

Hi friends,
Working on an itinerary for an upcoming trip to fair Hellas in August. Here is what I have so far:

Night:
1. Arrive at Santorini JTR airport
2. Overnight Santorini
3. Overnight Santorini
4. Fly to ATH, pick up rental car, overnight in Delphi
5. Delphi ruins in the morning. Drive to Nafplio, overnight Nafplio
6. Visit Argolis sites in morning. Drive to Athens and drop off car. Overnight Athens
7. Overnight Athens
8. Overnight Athens
Depart

Should I make it 2 nights Nafplio instead of an overnight in Delphi? I don't really want to miss Delphi though

It's not really a vacation but a kind of race to visit the most things in the least amount of time, and this in the heat of August.

At least you'll have some time to take pictures, that's not so bad. :-)

Maybe we'll save Nafplio for a future trip when we have more time for the Peloponnese

Its not a bad plan. Delphi is a great location and doing an overnight there and visiting the site first thing in the morning will give you maximum time to visit the site before the tour bus crowds arrive.

Nafplion is a good choice for your next stop. Be sure to find a hotel in the old town area. Its lovely.

If If I were to change your plan I might consider skipping the close by Ancient sites and instead heading back towards Athens and make a stop in Corinth. Many people drive right past Corinth with a quick stop at the Canal but there is an amazing fortress at Acrocorinth that might be the best of the ancient fortresses in the Peloponnese. It has a 360 degree view over the countryside. Right next to it is Ancient Corinth. Its not a top destination but it can be done nicely in an hour.
The bonus is you are already half way back to Athens.
