We booked Turkey tour 9/30-10/12, need advice for 6 days in Greece after tour. Don’t want to spend too much time on ferries, maybe just 2-3 nights on 1 island then on to Athens for 3-4 nights. Which island ? Friends recommend Rhodes, Santorini? Help, need advice and maybe hotel recommendations. Thank you!!

Not sure where you end your Turkey portion but if you're near Izmir, go to Chios or Lesvos. If you're near Bodrum, go to Kos or Kalymnos. And then you can fly to Athens.

The Best of Turkey tour ends in Kusadasi on the west coast. Catch the morning ferry to Samos/Vlathy town on Samos Island (meandertravel.com). Clear customs there. Stay in Samos town or taxi to Pythagorio on the south side of the island. Airport is very near Pythagorio for flight to Athens. We opted for staying in Pythagorio and very much enjoyed the town. A nice wind-down from Turkey and rug salesmen. Our host arranged a taxi for the morning flight. Oxi (No Day) is a national holiday on 28 Oct.

Yes- Samos is the closest island to Kusadasi and just a 90-minute ferry ride away. From Samos you can fly to Athens.
