What are transportation options for 3 am hotel transport to airport . With such an early flight was just thinking of staying in Athens airport over night . But I have read really no areas with comfortable seats. I checked into sleeping pods and they do not have them. Any suggestions.

At 3:00 a.m., you can either take a taxi (€55 flat rate at night) or the X95 bus (€5.50) from Syntagma Square.

We leave Athens for the airport fairly regularly before 5:00 a.m., and we're too far from Syntagma Square to take the X95 bus.
So, I pre-book a taxi with Welcome Pickups. It's only €2 or €3 more. They're official taxis, the driver has always been on time (You'll be notified by text or via the app.)

We have just returned home after a month in Greece. We booked our hotel in Athens with booking dot com. Their app had a function for booking taxis. We were able to book taxis directly through Booking dot com and pay the fare in advance. Our last day required a taxi at 5 am. When we got out of the hotel the taxi driver was waiting for us at the front door. It was a very efficient process with no worries about taxi drivers overcharging.
