4 students, 7-10 days in Greece very soon

My daughter is in Florence for a study abroad program. She and three others want to visit Greece during their midsummer break, June 21-July 1. This is very last-minute, but I'd love to help them plan something fun and affordable. They like beaches, art (2 are art majors) and some sightseeing. They want to visit Athens, and perhaps somewhere with a beach. Can anyone suggest where they should go? Santorini? Nafplio? Thanks!

Are they budget travellers ? My dd and her two friends did a few months backpacking around Europe last summer and they ( of course ) loved Greece , however it runs from fairly reasonable to insanely expensive depending on where you go .

They loved Santorini , but it was one of the priciest places they went , so they only stayed a few days there . They found a rental in Kamari ( a more budget friendly beach town than the more we’ll known oia and Fira ) that looked very nice and was affordable .

They then spent a week in Corfu and they loved it !! They stayed at a hostel there was so, but I think it may be booked up by now , the Pink Palace I think it was called .

At this date it’s going to be harder to find budget accommodation so I hope they have some flexibility .

When I was their age my friend and I did a week in Paros and I loved it , hear it’s just as nice .

I’ve been to mykonos 4 times now , and personally I think it’s a bit of a horror in summer , crowds and pricy , but many people like to do at least a few days there

The island of Ios, easily reached by ferry from Athens/Piraeus, is one of the most popular and affordable youth-oriented islands. Combined with Athens they should have a great time.
