My friends and I are doing a quick return trip to Greece in October. We have our heart set on going to Meteora. Our plan so far is to spend 3 nights in Athens the head to Meteora in time for a sunset tour, spend the night and do another tour in the morning. We then plan to head out and base ourselves in a beachside town for 2 nights so we can explore Mt Olympus and then fly out of Thessaloniki to Istanbul.
I still have to do more research but I thought I would just post this to all you Greek lovers. We definitely do not plan to hike to the peak of Mt Olympia but would like to see it from any view point. Any other recommendations for places to visit around there or tips for seeing Mt Olympus? We plan to have a car for this portion of our trip.
