We are a group of 8 spending 2 nights in Naxos before we leave on a catamaran trip. We plan to rent car(s) to go around the island. Right now we have our accommodations in White Cocoon by Ag.Anna . I still see some properties available close to the town or in Stelida. Should we get another place closer to the town? I like the privacy of White Cocoon esp for a large group like ours.
Also help with planning the days for site seeing . Thank you!
Personally, I would try to get somewhere a little closer to the beach because when you’re closer to the beach, you’re closer to the restaurants and you know the town you’re a little bit more remote so you can’t really walk anywhere I mean, reasonably but you are a group of eight so at this late date, it may be the best you can get
If you have two rental cars to get everyone around, feel free to choose whichever location suits you best. I don't believe there's a significant difference between staying in Stelida and Agia Anna unless you have specific plans for picking up or dropping off the vehicles. Keep in mind that lodging closer to or within Naxos Town might lead to parking challenges during the busy season.
In just one day in Naxos, you won't see much of the island. You'll have to make choices. With cars, you can go to many places. It all depends on what you prefer to do/see.
