Our itinerary is all booked and the last piece was to sign up for one of these tours. Problem--NONE that I can find leave on Tuesdays. (Is there a reason?!) We'll have to rearrange our hotels and everything if we have to change the day, so I hope someone can tell us how we can go there on a Tues, and return Wed night.

No, the tours are set for a certain day of the week, and have been for years. But don't worry about changing hotel dates ... once you have your booking, Athens hotels are usually OK with "tweaking" the dates a day one way or the other, especially if you explain that it is necessary because of "our tour." do not get specific.

Thanks. It is a pain to have to pack up and unpack and pack up again, but it looks like our only choice!
Do you know the tour companies and which is best?

There are THREE companies that make these tours the CHAT company, KEY, and GO ... All 3 in business for decades... if any others advertise, they just get your business and book into one of these 3, taking a %, so why not go direct? All of them have almost identical 2-day itinerary & Price (Some call their 2-day tour Delphi-Meteora, CHAT just calls it Meteora 2-day but it's same as others). Therefore, how good your experience will be depends very largely on the licensed guide who will travel with the group.
I suggest you look at the websites of all 3, see if there is any differences that matter to you. See how early they start out (sometimes they pick up early at certain hotels, but spend an hour driving around Athens to pick up tour passengers; you might inquire about this). Then google "Delphi-Meteora (name of company) 2-day tours Trip Advisor Reviews" and see what recent users think of each one. One thing to look out for -- a tour that is English-speaking Only will have more time for onboard Guide to give you info. If the guide must explain in 3 languages there's less time to impart information to each group.
